So, lately all I've had time to do are a lot if pin ups for various clients. I gotta admit some if them are pretty fun. Thus one above was a favorite. Penciled, inked and colored in Manga Studio 5EX.

The First Captain America: Isaiah Bradley
Isaiah Bradley, I loved doing this piece. It sometimes seems that putting a Black man in a position to represent our nation is a forward thinking, non traditional, almost oxymoronic figure in our culture. That was part of the fun doing this charecter. In his story Aficsn Americans are still looked upon as less than human and there were open laws in place to keep people like him from having the same rights and privileges as any white white male, native born American. But, he so proudly wears the colors of his nation because he is embracing the contributions his people have given to it, and feels he can add to that in a major way. Sometimes that's more patriotic than just waving or in this case wearing a flag on your body and fighting Nazi's. Fighting for the ideals of your nation whether they are being fairly given to you or not in hopes that one day they can be.

GFT Dark Shaman #3
I remember when Zenescope first told I got this gig, I was wondering if I could even draw on a monthly book. I never had done it before and it terrified me. But in the end I realized it's actually pretty manageable and all I had to do was to commit to producing work. I am thankful for experience and for the next few weeks will be showing some of my favorite pages from the series. I hope you enjoy.

Copic marker experiments
Out of all the marker brands I have tried, I absolutely love Copic. I recently got some cool grey and worm gray tones and have had a blast experimenting with them. Once I think I got the hang of them I will start working on some more serious pieces
In the meantime hope ya like

Black Heroes for Black History
Here is another process video of me drawing Captain America: Isaiah Bradley.
Isaiah Bradley was the original successful test subject of the Super Soldier program. Before Steve Rogers, the government tested hundreds of African American soldiers, exposing them to harmful testing. Isaiah was the last and only successful test subject. Isaiah had many successful covert missions in WW2
I hope to do more Black charecters from mainstream comics in hopes of creating a little awareness of these underused charecters
Enjoy the process video and thank you
